I explain how North America is changing. Highlighting what's really happening in U.S. cities states and regions by breaking down modern American geography, economics, history, and planning.
Why Tornado Alley Is Moving East
The United States gets more tornados than anywhere else on Earth, but most of those tornados happen in just one area known as Tornado Alley. Today's video looks at how Tornado Alley is growing.

Nobody Talks About This Texas Problem
Nah. Florida is doing great. Thats what freedom does.
Just look at the population demographics and it’s pretty clear why …
The UP getting left out of the map again 😂 good, stay out! Its mountains of snow and summer of bugs, you won’t like it! Stay out!
I live in wyoming....
You deserve more subs
I hate these dumbass channels like this one that talk on sht they dont know anything about. An as a Tennessean we are definitely in the South. I dont know why i always get recommended these channels but im bouta start flagging and reporting for misinformation and w.e else to slow y'all's sht down
"times smaller"? What does that mean. Use the proper words.
Lol 😆 🤣 😂... this is so silly. Obviously we need each other the whole way. The coastal state provide incredible security and export to Midwest. The Midwest is a gold mine of food export to every corner of the world.
I get disgusted whenever someone from New England or California moves to the Midwest.
as a michigander, why is the UP kept out of all of the midwest outlines in this video? 😂😂😂
This is weird. It's not like the Midwest is going anywhere. It's part of the US. We need EVERY part of the US. Otherwise it's not the US. 🙄
I love new jersey but the tax is so high I can't afford
They have no laws on fucking on the animals!
Isn't there technology to make water from air? Yes - why isn't this guy who bought property exploiting this there?
Where ever people sin tornado 🌪️ goes there
THE USA IS DOOMED. ARE YOU SHITTING ME
Well, if you are rich, you definitely care about Wyoming. Highest concentration of billionaires in the country can be found in Jackson, Wyoming and for a very good reason.
i know why we need the midwest but why do we need Chicago?
The only geological problem we got in Florida is too f****** many people
This video is just global warming hysteria. Nothing new hear.
Alabama is very bad, and Mississippi is not that far behind.
How can I take you seriously if the first 2 maps cut off the upper peninsula of Michigan?
Yes tennessee is very poor and bad please stop coming here
Chicago
The demographic movements and housing inflation are driven by the so-called boomers. Although the midwest may employ the working age, their influence is smaller because having children became passe for those women in the 1970s and 80s.
Lived here all my life , I want out uncontrolled development water drinkable disappearing and taxes will be so high few can pay .
I have an older aunt originally from Metro NY/CT area. She is of decent means...still runs her own business, and relocated down to the Broward/ Lauderdale area during Covid..since my parents have been near Sarasota since the mid 90s, so she thought it might be a good move. Now both her and my parents are leaving...moving back north since there's no affordable way my elder parents can afford a condo and insurance there and the house is now too much for them to upkeep ....but my Dad is also really fed-up with the way people have become so obnoxious about their politics...since it now attracts a certain tacky type who moved to 'DeSantis-land' to be loud and proud morons...which Florida always had a few to start with, but weren't the norm. My experience had been it had been a general live and let live vibe and you kept things to yourself attitude.... that was the norm for the 30 plus years they were there. Since Covid...it's been ruined. My Aunt loved the weather but quickly realized just how...as she put it...'trashy' people are there. She couldn't find reliable contractors for repairs...too many who were drunk or never show up on time. Driving around town she's almost been hit numerous times by speeding, jacked-up pickups who often don't see her smaller car, and she noted while running errands around town; "I cannot believe how some people act in public! Rude, loud, screaming at waiters and workers... and it's not just at the beach, but at restaurants, the mall, the Publix, at Target....everywhere!". I went to see her a few months ago...and like my parents, she'd had enough. She's selling her place and moving back north.... looking into parts of the Carolinas or Virginia...or even back to New England. Last week she told me...."At this point, Id rather live back up north and deal with the taxes and winters than have to put up with this."
The problem is I think the terms wealthiest and poorest are relative to area and cost of living. My wife and I make around $130-140k before taxes and live in Alabama. While this might be peanuts for Washington DC, New York, or California, it allows me to own a 3000 sq ft 5 bed house, a brand-new Lexus SUV, a 2 year old diesel truck, a Harley, and have money in the bank, money in our retirement account, multiple vacations to Florida, and pay for Christmas in cash for our 4 kids. I’d love to see what people need to make over there to achieve the same quality of life.
Population (2020 ) Total 733,391
As someone living in sc for 20 ish years, nc is far superior in every way.
It’s largely because of political decisions that have held the states back over the past several centuries. The south operates on a traditionalist form of politics where political power mostly emanates from wealthy land owners and businessmen. This is directly descendants of how plantation owners dominated southern politics with their capital generated from slavery, just now it’s businessmen and wealthier people dominating politics. Consequently these people pass policies that favor their social and economic class. There no income taxes in Tennessee or Texas, not because it gives a genuine advantage to the majority of the states residents, but because it favors the wealthiest people in those states who don’t have to worry as much about sky high sales and property taxes that effect poorer and middle class residents. The result is that these states often attract a lot of businesses through low taxation and regulations but the workers in these businesses are often not compensated very well and have to deal with high living expenses creating poverty.
Used Kansas as a state that isn’t living in a harsh reality when it’s in tornado alley.. probably should have used a different state for that example.
There, youtube, I watched it! Now leave me be.
Teacher pay is 50th in the nation and always has been bad. Try Georgia instead, but I hear from friends they have decided Georgia is just as crowded now.
Stay out of Wyoming especially you California people leave us alone all of you stay out of Wyoming
Why is the best part of Michigan cut out?!
Only 200 hundred miles from the bahamas ???? Try 60 miles. 2 hours by boat.
I like how the east half of Kansas is on there. The east half is nice forests and rolling hills rivers and lakes. The west half is flat dry and no water with 100 mph straight line winds
The south is filled with contradictions. As seen in some of the comments. I see a lot of ‘you need to include VA, TX, and FL!” yet most southerners are quick to refute those states in a heartbeat as “not southern”. They also hate big cities in the south as they filled with cArPeTbaGGeRs and outsiders…yet those cities keep the region alive.
I like it here
The Midwest was very important. We made the chemicals and materials that helped win WWI. When that ended, the country dumped the remaining waste and had us build homes and schools on top. We made the steel that won both world wars, and helped build the largest buildings our country has. And when that wasn't enough, places like the LOOW north of Buffalo NY were enriching radioactive material for the atomic bombs that won WWII. We also paid the price due to the improper disposal of the radioactive waste. Cities like Buffalo NY also were home to companies like Bell labs, and the first planes to break the sound barrier like the X-1 were designed and built there. We really could use some local money to come fix things up.
“Notre dom”💀
Now that South Florida has had days and days of hard rain and flooding, we can now talk about Ocean Rise. Death Santis has passed a statute discouraging the word "Climate"
Well I'm very disappointed to NOT having heard one word concerning the very very large problem of wells, past and present, spewing methane into the atmosphere.
It's on the line where warm humid gulf air meets western dryer air.
It’s still too early to make any conclusions. It hasn’t been long enough and this could just be a passing trend. A few major outbreaks doesn’t mean tornado alley is moving. Besides, the traditional tornado alley was hit very hard this year. Weather processes work on geological timescales. Not decades.
DeSantis didn't create a disaster fund because climate change is illegal in Florida, it didn't get his permission... If Florida is broke, it will certainly be more broken by Ron.
You don't have to watch this vid. The answer is: Because it's cold af.
Midwest? I don’t understand why it’s called midwest. This area should be mid-north. West is Washington state, Oregon, California. Mid-west is Colorado, Utah, Wyoming.
I think it’s because North America in general is known as the west, and the Midwest is in the middle of it.
But the middle of the USA is closer to Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas area. Still doesn’t make sense.
Fargo North Dakota is booming. If you want to work and work hard come here.
